Critter Catching Guide

PHOBIA WARNING! ️

This game includes creatures like snakes, spiders, and creepy crawly bugs. If you have Arachnophobia️, Ophidiophobia, or Entomophobia, we highly suggest that you:

Step 1: Navigate to your inventory via the backpack icon on the 305 HUD.

Step 2: Click your name at the top right of the webpage.

Step 3: Select the red button for each phobia you have.

Step 4: Hit Save.

This will block the creature images of the phobia types you’ve selected, so when you catch a critter, view your inventory, or open your bestiary, those specific creatures won’t show.

HOW TO CATCH CRITTERS

Grab Your Gear!

Visit any one of the G.O.O.B bots to grab a HUD, buy a critter net and some bait . Boosts are available for purchase too, but aren’t required! Read more about bait and boost types at the bottom of this page.

G.O.O.B. Locations:

• The 305 = Near the ferris wheel.
• The Glades = Top NW corner of map on a street corner near the sim border.
• Gator Alley = Near the landing zone by Trout.
• Hollow Key = In front of the critter shop in Sugarloaf market village.

Set It Up!

Attach your HUD, net, and activate the gestures .

• Make sure you don’t have conflicting gestures active, as you may run into issues with the hotkeys.

You’re almost ready to go hunting!

 Pick A Location!

Each sim (except for Biscayne Bay, which has no critters ) will have separate areas where you may find different critters. There are 17 different zones spread out between:

• The 305
• The Glades
• Gator Alley
• Hollow Key

…for a total of 527 critters! Explore each sim to find them all!

The Hunt Begins!

Press 0 (if gestures are active) or click the net to begin the mini-game!

You will see various options on the HUD appear in the seven small boxes.

Read local chat to determine which is the correct answer to discover your creature and catch it!

Press 1–7 to choose your answer.

Wrong choices will make it flee faster.

BAIT TYPES

Your equipped bait shows as a colored food bowl icon on your HUD; the color changes depending on the bait you have equipped. Click it to switch baits .

You’ll also get a local message telling you how much of that bait type you have.

Purchase bait at a G.O.O.B bot located in:

• The 305
• The Glades
• Hollow Key
• Gator Alley

Bait List:

Common – Gray [ Cost = 50 ]

Uncommon – Green [ Cost = 100 ]

Rare – Blue [ Cost = 200 ]

Epic – Orange [ Cost = 500 ] 

NET TYPES

Net quality appears as a colored net icon on your HUD ; the color changes depending on the net you have equipped. If it looks wrong, just detach and reattach the net to fix the display .

Net List:

Basic – Gray [ Cost = 100 ]

Good – Green [ Cost = 250 ]

Superb – Blue [ Cost = 500 ]

Exquisite – Orange [ Cost = 1000 ]

• Duplicator Charm – +1 critter per cast (10 casts)
• Aether-Bait Infuser – Boost bait quality +1 (10 casts)
• Reinforced Starweave Net – Boost net quality +1 (10 casts)
• Windsong Feather – Makes critter catching easier (10 casts)
• Fae-Lure Pendant – Increases chance of rarer finds (10 casts)
• Trueform Lens – Narrows down guessing options (10 casts) __

• Login – Opens the website; first time use will require setting a password.
• Password – Input your website password
• Status – Shows list of active boosts and net durability
