Fishing Guide

Find Trout the dog. Trout can be found:

• The 305: Bait Shop at NW Beach.
• The Glades: Harbormaster building at W Docks.
• Hollow Key: Fishing Market in the village.
• Gator Alley: At the landing point.
• Biscayne Bay: Out in the water with his BFF Salmon. Go find him!

Grab a HUD (free) and purchase (with D-Marks) both a fishing rod and bait. – Activate the gestures.

Once you attach the HUD you’ll see a gray dot next to a fishing lure image on the lower right side. Click the dot to select a bait type. – You must re-select your bait each time you run out.

Make sure the rod and HUD are both attached, and that you have bait active, then you may begin fishing near any Linden water in the 305 sim chain.

Press 1 to fish and then the corresponding arrow that appears on the HUD. – You get 30 seconds to capture the fish before it swims away. Lag spikes may interfere with the speed of the arrow images swapping on occasion.

TIPS AND TRICKS

Click the menu button to check your current active boosts and rod durability. – Yes, rods have durability, you will need to repair on occasion. (You repair at Trout.)

You can turn on Chat Feedback in the menu to have the next arrow sequence appear in chat as well as on the HUD. May help in case of lag spikes.

Click the backpack image on your 305 main HUD to visit your inventory where you can view what fish you’ve caught, sell them, trade them, use boosts or check out the fishing compendium.

Golden Starfish are sim-wide boosts to double catch increase, so long as you have your fishing HUD on, if someone uses a boost anywhere in the chain, you’ll receive the boost.

Yes, if you have max bait and max rod quality, the bait boosts and rod boosts still give a chance increase.
